The Ozark Mountain region in Missouri only extends throughout the southern and central part of the state. The steeper hills are in the south-central part of Missouri. There is so much to enjoy in the Missouri Ozarks that we thought we’d try to share some of it with you.
The Ozarks is a wonderful place to live or visit. I’ve lived in Southwest Missouri all my life. My husband and I bought a farm on 133 acres near Sarcoxie, Missouri, a few years ago and we enjoy being out in the country. Of course, our farm business keeps us busy – probably one of the reasons MOOzarks website has never been finished! But we love it – we are in a valley along a creek where our grandchildren love to swim and search for arrowheads and other Indian artifacts. It’s very peaceful out here. But just a couple of miles away is I-44 that gets us quickly to any place we need to go.
I hope you enjoy reading about the things we do in the Missouri Ozarks. There is always something going on, so please come along, visit some of the places and enjoy the events we have listed. We’ll try to keep you informed as to where the farmer’s markets are going to be running, also.
Please keep in mind that we are not affiliated with any state or government agency. We simply are pulling our information from experiences and input from our readers.
Please fill free to contact us if you have some information you’d like to have posted, whether it be your town history or an event that is coming up. We want to know.
