Past Event – Carthage Maple Leaf Festival

Carthage, MO – October 11-20, 2013.

This annual event began back in the 1960s, and has grown throughout the years to include many more events during the one-week festival. It starts with a variety of activities throughout the week including a family fun walk, beauty pageants, baby and toddler contests, and other competitions.

On the third Saturday of the month, there is a parade that is said to be the largest parade in Southwest Missouri. It begins at 9 a.m. on the historic Carthage square and ends around noon at the Carthage Middle School.

Throuhout the day on that Saturday, there will be craft and food booths around the square, a petting zoo, a car show, and live entertainment.

  1. Hello! I visited your website today. My name is Cindy Tucker. I am a singer/songwriter from Nixa Missouri. I am in a band called The Daisy Bandits. We are interested in playing at your events. We were wondering if you have an audition process. Please advise and thanks in advance!

    1. Hi Cindy! MOOzarks.com is not directly connected with most of the events you see on the site – we simply list/advertise them. For information regarding your participation in the Maple Leaf Festival, please go to their website: http://carthagemapleleaf.com/maple-leaf or contact the Carthage Chamber of Commerce.

Best of luck with your band – I hope to see you at one of the events!
